Go outside the house and remove the exterior vent cover.

Use the large dryer vent duct brush to clean out the duct. Clean out the dryer vent from the outside using a vacuum. Use hose extensions if available to vacuum out as much of the duct as you can. When the vent looks clear go back.

Pull it out and remove the lint from the brush. The first thing you have to do is locate where the duct begins and ends. Once the dryer s in place head outside to clean the exterior vent. Locate your duct in order to properly clean your dryer s ventilation system you have to first know where it is and where it ends.

Remove lint from the duct by hand and then vacuum the inside of the duct. If you find much lint on it repeat the step again. Cleaning a dryer duct isn t difficult. In back of most dryer units is a short 4 inch diameter.
